SERODIA TP•PA (Passive Particle Agglutination Test)
From Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc., the original developer of the micro-hemagglutination Treponema pallidum (T. pallidum) assay, comes SERODIA®-TP•PA, a convenient, sensitive, and specific Passive Particle agglutination test for the detection of antibodies to Treponema pallidum. A clinical comparison of SERODIA-TP•PA, FTA-ABS, VDRL, and Western blot were performed. In a specificity test, SERODIA-TP•PA showed a 100% match on 128 individuals with known lack of treponemal infection, whereas FTA-ABS showed 7 out of 128 with a false positive1.
